Preparing myself to watch the new Fox Network series, Gracepoint, at 9PM, starring David Tennant, essentially the same character he played on the brilliant BBC series, Broadchurch - exception, his character's name is changed to Emmett Carver (Emmett?? Really!). However, apparently, all other characters will retain the names from the BBC series. The role of Ellie Miller will be played by Anna Gunn (never heard of her, she's on Breaking Bad - I've never watched - recently won an Emmy).
I'm wondering, how much will the action follow that of Broadchurch? From what I read, the action will practically be the same & will only start to deviate with the start of the 6th episode (don't know whether to believe the writer of this article; in his interview with Anna Gunn, he listed her character as "Ellie Carver"!).
I will give it a look, but, don't see how it can top the BBC's Broadchurch, which I totally loved. Will buy the DVD, if there is one. Also, it is just weird that David Tennant will continue to be in the second season of Broadchurch as well. How odd.
It will certainly be a "deja vu" moment watching Gracepoint. I may or may not have more to say after viewing it. Off to finish cleaning up until 9PM.
