Subject: BEN, YOU BE CRAAZZY!
Dear Ben,
I realize at times we all want to be somewhere else, any where. And I'm with you on the fact that there are an infinite number of Planets out there (now call me crazy!). But are they ours for the taking? Once a Comet destroys this Planet or we humans destroy it first, what makes you think we will have the knowledge & skill, even in 2019, to get there? If we somehow have acquired that knowledge & skill by the time the disaster happens, what makes you think we have the right to just go strolling through the Universe inhabiting Planets? I'm sure some of these Planets that are able to sustain life are already inhabited. Are we just going to forcefully occupy them (we have had some experience with that, occupation I mean)? Is that the reason for trump hyping this Space Force (& you don't want to know about trump & what office he holds)? Or, are we going to peacefully request to share? Good Luck with that! We already proven on Earth that we can't have nice things (I won't tell you all the animals, birds & insects that are now extinct. And, forget about the bees being in jeopardy). And, we've proven that we can't be good neighbors to each other. Ben, hate to tell ya, but you would be sorely disapointed in us. We have not done good. Oh, we did finally outlaw the inhumane, despicable practice of slavery (took decades for people of color to get bacis civil rights). Ben, we have been a right mes! Now, we're fighting over the man-made effects of Climate Change, which is quickly destroying the Planet. That's what I meant about destroying ourselves. Well, a few of us are denying Climate Change, mainly fools in the cough, cough, United States, cough, cough. So Ben, I'm fresh out of ideas. You have any, good ones? After all, you're one of America's Founding Fathers, signer of our Declaration of Independence, etc. - not sure if that's any help to the Planet, but, who knows. Right now, that new Planet thing does sound a little pie-the-sky, kinda of. Maybe get a bunch of the guys still alive during your time & set up a think-tank. You may actually come up with something.
