(1). Short while ago, finished watching The Tony Awards, sort of. I miss Neil Patrick Harris; I've been spoiled for the last three years. Hugh Jackman is ok (did not realize he has such a mediocre singing voice, my opinion), but, he is not NPH. I became addicted yesterday to a show called "Bar Rescue" on the Spike Channel - they were showing at least 5 episodes back to back. So, I started to watch it again today, when I was supposed to be doing other things. Including watching The Tony Awards. I kept switching back & forth between The Tonys & Bar Rescue, during the commercials. Did not want to miss Neil getting a Tony - at least I hoped he would & he did, best actor in a musical (Hedwig & The Angry Inch). Prior to 2011, I had not watched the Tonys for at least 25 years. Thank you Neil for peaking my interest again - you are magic.

(2). Saw that BBCA was showing one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who - The Waters of Mars. Just had to watch it. I thought David Tennant was magnificent in that episode; also, the actress portraying Adelaide Brooke. Doctor Who, you gave me chills. Stubborn, all-knowing, rule-breaker. That smug, arrogant attitude when the Tardis landed in 2059 London said it all. Timelord Victorious, indeed!

Following that, they aired the 3 hours of "End of Time "; never viewed it, except for a few minutes of video on YouTube. Probably never will see it. Just from the few minutes on YouTube, the entire concept was ludicrous (all 6 billion + humans on the Planet Earth turned into replicas of the Master??). But, the one little piece of video that made me so not want to see the episode, that crappy cameo of Captain Jack Harkness; he is sitting in some sleazy bar on some planet, obviously drunk, distraught. The Doctor's parting gift to him was to pimp him out to an even more drunk sailor named Alonso. As if all he needed to get over his grief at needlessly & recklessly causing the death of Ianto & actually killing his grandson, was a hook up with some stranger. That made me dislike The Doctor even more for his continuing, horrible treatment of Jack.

(3). Watched episodes 3 & 4 of "Sing Your Face Off", with the lovely John Barrowman. Only performance I liked was China as Alicia Keys. Landry Fields did a presentable Enrique Iglesias. The rest, laughable. Although, Jon Lovitz as Billy Idol was just grotesque. I was really hoping he would have the lowest score. But, Sebastian Bach was elimated; other than China, he probably has the best singing voice. His main problem was sounding too much like Sebastian Bach & not the musical icon he was portraying. And, please, don't ever try to do Freddie Mercury again!

I really wish ABC had devoted this time on a Saturday evening to a variety show, showcasing the lovely singing voice & other talents of John Barrowman. They are going to regret wasting his talent. I don't understand why he is not a bigger name in America. A lot of the viewers just know him from Torchwood & Arrow; they have no idea that he can sing! Gavin Barker, you are his manager & friend, get to work introducing him to a much wider viewing audience in the USA ( & definitely no announcing winning lottery numbers or used car dealer commercials!). It would certainly make my day if he gained a much wider appeal & fame in America. He is so deserving of it. So, Gavin, you have your marching orders.
