Finally! Two weeks of not being able to use my Computer - never been so bored in my life. Although, I must say I watched lots of movies, most of the Christmas variety:
1. It's A Wonderful Life
2. Meet Me In St. Louis (Three Times!)
3. The Lady Vanishes
4. Separate Tables
5. The Christmas Story - The Andy Griffith Show (Twice)
6. The Lemon Drop Kid (I Love, Love, Love This Movie)
7. Scrooge
That's all I remember right now.
Reason for no Internet? Needed a new Modem - mine was almost 8 years old. I finally called Verizon 12/1 - new Modem was delivered 12/3. However, I did not get it, due to the fact that silly Verizon put the wrong apt. # on the package. Even though I confirmed the correct address & apt # with the Customer Svc. Rep & their e-mail to me confirming the shipment, had the correct apt. #. Spoke to the Leasing Mgr. this afternoon, he was kind enough to track my package. He delivered it to my door. I must say, the management & staff in this building are really helpful & very nice.
It is a nice, black, shiny & small Modem - matches the Computer. And, it takes up very little room on my desk (or what is now passing for my desk - bedroom lamp table). I plugged the three cables in, using the old Modem as an example - everything is working. However, I do need to call Tech Support - why all of a sudden is McAfree listing the LiveJournal site as dangerous? And, I'm getting Pop-Ups!
Oh well, off to get rid of 741 new e-mails that came in. Fun, fun, fun!
