My latest attempt at baking.
This is a Brown Sugar Pound Cake, baked in a pumpkin mold purchased from William-Sonoma. It looks quite tempting, does it not? Surely, a successful attempt. Well, I'm afraid not. How can anything with 3 sticks of butter and 3 cups of sugar, be so dry and un-sweet? This was simply awful. Plus, I wasted my Pecans. Can't believe I was up at 1am baking this failure. Should have made that Pecan Fudge I was craving. Where did I go wrong?
Guess I'll just go out and buy more Pecans, make that fudge & eat it all. Just kidding. Actually, I am not going out anywhere for a bit. Ten days ago, smashed my right big toe by dropping an ironing board on it - can not wear a shoe on that foot. The very same toe on which I had surgery twice, the last, 3 years ago.
Oh well, guess I better order some groceries from my local ShopRite.
