Why don't I ever follow my own sensible advice? Maybe, because I'm pig-headed?
Earlier Sunday morning, I found a new fun thing (printing FanFiction.Net Torchwood stories from my iPhone6, in large print). About 9pm, I keyed in the FanFiction.Net website on my iPhone. I was attempting to bring up a short story to print from my phone. Not sure what happened, but, I ended up on my homepage for my Computer. And, at the top, I have listed a Torchwood story, " Something Like Hope ", as a favorite. It's a MPREG, not Jack, but Ianto. One of my all-time favorite Torchwood fanfictions. I know, I say that a lot, but, it is. The author, http://amazonqueenkate.livejournal.com, no longer has this listed on her journal. So, I printed it out several years ago. However, the print is so small & hard to read, even with my glasses. I decided that story would be a great one to print out in large type, forgetting that my ironclad rule was to only print very short stories. Well, I started to print out this story & after about 25 pages, it suddenly dawned on me that this was in huge print type...... if the original copy in small print had 89 pages.....STOP THE PRESSES! That's what a sensible person would do.
Of course, I had to rationalize why I should continue printing (a waste of paper to stop now, trying to use up last bit of black ink in the cartridge, at least I can see without my glasses, etc ..etc ).
Something Like Hope, in huge print type has four-hundred-forty-five, I repeat, 445, pages! The one saving grace, they automatically printed out double-sided. So, I only used up 223 pages.
Once I have finished with my Monday cleaning & dusting my apartment, I think I will sit down with my feet propped up, with a cup of Tea & Blueberry Muffins ( I'm making the Muffins, from scratch - LOL! ) & re-read " Something Like Hope ", for the 4th time - it is one of my all-time favorites.
