Talking about George Michael. What a treasure that man is! Listening to & watching him perform, is like watching a Master Class. He is indisputably one of the best, if not the best (I'm thinking " the best "), singer on this planet. In all the years I have been listening to him, I have never heard him sing out of tune or hit a sour note. Sheer perfection. He is a gift that has been given to us & we are so not deserving.
I purchased a YouTube DVD Video, " George Michael: Live In London 2009 ", in May of this year. Never got a chance to watch until today. Earlier, I watched " George Michael Unplugged MTV ". Another great YouTube video from 1996; as far as I know, it was never released as a CD or DVD. Who was the genius behind that mistake?
Watching the 2009 London performance was a revelation; this performance was just over 2 hours & there was never any lag. The voice hasn't changed at all. He made a couple of jokes in reference to the length of the performance & his age. But, he was just brilliant. I, for one, am so grateful for George Michael. My one wish is to be able to see him perform live, in person. Working on it.
Speaking of George, I really have got to get a move on re-importing my CD collection back on iTunes. I think I've accepted the fact that the bulk of my iTunes Library is somewhere floating in Cyber Space & I need to stop thinking I'm going to recover it, by some miracle. So, George Michael is next on the list to re-import. Two weeks ago, I re-imported 3 John Barrowman CDs and 24 Van Morrison CDs.
I had originally intended to give my CD collection to an outfit that sends used CDs to our Military members. But, I never finished importing all of my CDs. Am I ever glad that I did not. This is one of the few times my habit of procrastinating worked in my favor. So, tomorrow, I will start pulling out more CDs to import to iTunes.
