Congratulations to John Barrowman, being selected as a Member Of The British Empire (MBE)in HM The Queen's Birthday Honours. Well deserved.
Just finished watching the last two episodes of Sing Your Face Off. Did not really care too much for any of the performances in the first hour. The guest judge was Tom Arnold (his only claim to fame is that he is the 2nd ex-husband of Roseanne, whatever). I did like John Barrowman's little James Brown moves. He is just too cute!.
The 2nd hour: The guest judge was D Lister Carmen Electra - claim to fame - ultimate bad girl & married for a minute to basketball bad boy & political embarrassment, Dennis Rodman. Lisa Rinna was boring as Madonna; Landry Fields was just O k as Little Richard (I felt the song was wrong, would have been better if he sang Long Tall Sally); China, I liked her singing as Whitney Houston. However, her make-up, dress & hair were all wrong, too old. They should have had her channel the younger Whitney Houston. Still, all in all, she was the best. I'm glad she won.
Ticked off that the two judges got to perform (Debbie & Darrell), plus, Jon Lovitz & Sebastian Bach got to perform as LMFAO, which was really bad. The only real singer on the show, John Barrowman, did not get a chance to sing! What kind of justice is that? And, John, please stop cutting your hair so short; even though you still look younger than your actual age, the short hair tends to age you. If you ever intend to play the immortal, non or slow aging Captain Jack Harkness again, you need to look as young as you can. Unfortunately, I think we may have seen the last of Torchwood. And, if it ever comes back without Captain Jack Harkness in the leading & pivotal role or no John Barrowman at all, I'm done, it is dead to me. Word to Moffit: don't you think it is strange that the 11th Doctor did not run into Jack at least once during his regeneration? Just saying.
