It is currently 24 degrees, with a wind-chill factor making it feel like 14 degrees. Above is one of my favorite pictures (created by someone on DeviantArt). Always makes me long for Winter. Well, at least it used to! Anyway, the picture is still beautiful.
While waiting for a callback from my physician's office. I decided to bake a Pecan Pie. Only after I started, realized I did not have enough Pecans. But, I soldiered on. It called for 30 mins. baking time; I had to leave it in for an additional 20 mins. Blame it on my electric oven. Of course, the crust burned, even though I covered it. I'll find out later if it really does taste like a Pecan Pie ( I have my doubts). Picture below. Also, that of the Orange Cake I baked early Christmas morning. It browned too much - I need a new cake pan. Sure I do.
